DescriptionHounds and Jackals is an historical Egyptian sport played round 1800 B.C. The game is performed on a board with 58 holes (29 for Hounds, 29 for Jackals) and 10 pegs carved with the pinnacle of both a Hound or a Jackal. This recreation is the ancestor of Snakes and Ladders performed 2000 years previous!! The purpose of the game is to maneuver all 5 of your pegs across the board, and location them within the 5 holes closest to the top of the palm tree before the other participant! Even supposing the exact rules to the sport were misplaced in time, probably the most excepted principles are based upon the work of R.C. Bell, author of The Board Sport eBook.
